Sindh E&T dept collects over Rs58.91bn

KARACHI: Sindh Excise and Taxation (E&T) department has collected over Rs 58.91 billion. The information was released by Director General Excise and Taxation Sindh Aurangzeb Panhwar.

According to the details, tax collection for the current financial year from July 2023 to November 2023 stood at Rs 58.91 billion, of which, Rs 3827.509 million was collected under motor vehicle tax, Rs 51.61 billion from infrastructure cess, Rs 351.982 million and Rs 64.216 million were collected on account of professional tax and cotton fee.

Similarly, Rs 29.151 million was collected as entertainment duty while the remaining amount was collected under the head of other taxes.
