LAHORE: The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Park Kijun, called on Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman here Tuesday during which promotion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and tourism came under discussion.

During the meeting, the overall situation of Palestine was also discussed.

Speaking on this occasion, the governor said that Israel's bombing of children, women and innocent civilians in Palestine Gaza is a crime against humanity and the world should raise its voice against the ongoing atrocities on Palestinians and also play its role in stopping it.

Governor said “Pakistan values its relations with Korea and the Pakistan's government and people are grateful to the Korean government and companies for extending help to the flood victims in Pakistan last year.” He said “Economic, technological, defense, cultural cooperation and people to people contact between Pakistan and Korea need to be further promoted.” He said that economic relations between the two countries are of great importance, and bilateral trade should be boosted. He said that Pakistan welcomes all its friends and partners for business and investment.

The governor said that Korean multinational companies should benefit from investment facilities under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

Moreover, the historical building of Governor House Lahore was illuminated with pink lights in connection with ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month.’ The historic building of the Governor House Lahore has been illuminated with pink lights on the special instructions of the Punjab Governor in connection with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In this regard, for the first time, breast cancer awareness boards have been displayed on the main gate and wall of the Governor's House on the Mall Road side. Pink ribbon logo; which is a symbol of breast cancer awareness campaign, is also decorated with neon lights at the main gate, a spokesman of the Governor’s House said in a statement.
