Goldman Sachs names Sam Morgan as global head of FICC sales

LONDON: London-based Sam Morgan has been promoted to global head of sales for Goldman Sachs’ fixed income, currencies and commodities (FICC), the bank said in a memo on Wednesday.

Morgan currently leads the team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and serves on Goldman’s European Management Committee. He will remain as co-head of One Goldman Sachs, an initiative aimed at integrating the bank’s dealings with clients across teams, said the memo seen by Reuters.

Morgan has worked at Goldman Sachs for over 15 years, since leaving university, his LinkedIn profile showed.

Matt Verrochi was named as head of Americas FICC sales in the memo sent by Goldman’s heads of global banking & markets, Ashok Varadhan, Dan Dees and Jim Esposito.

Morgan and Verrochi will work with product and regional leadership teams, it added.
