PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) invited the Jazz Mosafir team to present their travel technology platform to Director General Bakhtiar Khan and other officials.

The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange ideas and discuss ways to improve the tourism industry, said in a press release issued here on Sunday. Jazz Mosafir, a partner of Mobilink jazz, is a travel tech platform that provides in-app real-time assistance to its active subscribers across the country.

During the meeting, many points of mutual interest were discussed, including disaster risk reduction, supporting responsible tourism, adequate information, vigilance, and identification of alternate destinations to address all the issues and challenges in the travel tourism and hospitality sector.

During the meeting, the main topic of discussion was the real-time footage of popular travel destinations that can be accessed by tourists. The footages will be available 24/7 on mobile app and website, and it will be broadcasted live with the support of high-definition video cameras installed at selected locations.

Bakhtiar Khan, the Director General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, extended a cordial reception and expressed gratitude to the Jazz Mosafir team.

During his address, he provided the team with an overview of the government’s ongoing initiatives and endeavors to enhance culture and tourism in the region. He further reiterated the government’s dedication to facilitating private sector involvement in promoting and advancing the local tourism and hospitality sectors. This can have a positive impact on the region’s economic growth by potentially generating job opportunities for the local workforce.

Recognizing the enormous potential of tourism in the region, it was mutually agreed to collaborate and identify common areas of interest. As part of the ongoing efforts, a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be signed soon to provide structure to the collaboration.
