LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab has passed a resolution against Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan recommending for his removal from the Central Executive Committee (CMC) on Friday.
A meeting of the PPP Punjab held at the residence of Aziz-ur-Rehman Chan with acting President Rana Farooq Saeed in the chair. Faisal Mir read out the resolution which was adopted unanimously.
Meanwhile, the PPP also convened a meeting of the CEC to table a resolution against Aitzaz Ahsan, seeking to suspend his membership and issuing him a show-cause notice. PPP Co-Chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari gave the directives for strict action against Aitzaz Ahsan for his explosive remarks against COAS Bajwa.
