FAISALABAD: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Engr. Bashir Ahmed issued special directives to the operation staff of the region to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers and timely redressal of their complaints.

He has made it clear that customer satisfaction should be the top priority of FESCO. He said that FESCO staffs who do not give priority to customers’ complaints should correct their attitude. The FESCO administration is taking various measures to provide the best and quality services to the customers because satisfied consumer reflects the performance of the company. The Superintending Engineers (SEs) of all the five operation circles have been directed to ensure immediate implementation of the measures issued by the FESCO Authority to maintain uninterrupted and smooth electricity supply due to the recent increase in heat intensity he added.

In order to control the incidents of burning of transformers in summer season, the process of load balancing should be completed on all the transformers in the field as soon as possible while burnt and damaged transformers should be sent to transformer workshop so that they can be repaired and sent to the field as soon as possible.

News electricity connections, single phase meters, 10KVA, 15KVA, 25KVA and 50KVA transformers should be installed during Saturday and Sunday holidays. He further said that the pending net metering connections of the consumers should also be installed immediately.

All SDOs are ordered to exert their best efforts and make maximum progress to achieve the best results. He also warned that show-cause notices will be issued against such officers who showed poor results and the FESCO authority will initiate strict departmental action against them.

Bashir Ahmed has issued special directives to the head of all five-operation circles of FESCO region to protect consumers from any possible fatal or non-fatal accidents and ensure the uninterrupted power supply to them during the recent monsoon rains.

He said that FESCO has already taken all necessary measures to maintain the smooth electricity supply during the current rainy season. In addition patrolling was arranged for the maintenance of feeders, identification of defects in LT / HT lines, transformers and other electrical installations and their rectification. All stores are open to ensure the timely availability of material in case of tripping, fault or any emergency on feeders so that customers do not have to wait for hours in case of faults and replacement of equipment on feeders, he added.

He further said that FESCO is utilizing all its resources to ensure the uninterrupted power supply to its consumers. All the Superintending Engineers have directed to take immediate steps to rectify any faults at disposal tube wells and water supply feeders of their circles so that drainage problems could not arise during the recent rains.

In addition, he directed the FESCO field staff to work in accordance with all safety T&P and after adopting all safety measures while working on the live lines.

FESCO Chief Bashir Ahmed also appealed to the consumers to stay away from electric poles, wires and transformers and follow the guidelines issued by FESCO management during the rainy season so that they can ensure the safety of themselves, their children and the lives of the people.
