Collection of govt receipts/duties/taxes: Concerned branches to open on 29th & 30th

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announces opening of concerned branches for collection of government receipts and taxes on June 29 and 30, 2022. In order to facilitate the collection of government receipts/duties/taxes, SBP has decided that the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation and authorized branches of National Bank of Pakistan will observe extended banking hours till 08:00 PM and 12:00 AM on 29th and 30th June, 2022 respectively. Accordingly, NIFT has been advised to arrange a special clearing at 12:00 AM on 30th June, 2022 for same day clearing of payment instruments.

SBP has advised all banks to keep their concerned branches open on 30th June, 2022 till such time that is necessary to facilitate the special clearing for Government transactions by the NIFT.
