LAHORE: A city magistrate on Monday handed over six accused in Minar-e-Pakistan woman assault case to police for physical remand till September 09.
Lari Adha police produced the accused Arsalan, Mehran, Iftikhar, Abid, Sajid and Shehryar before the court under strict security measures. The court allowing their three-day remand directed the police to produce them again on next hearing.
Earlier, the investigating officer demanded 14-day remand of the accused. The counsel of the accused however opposed the remand and said police had to recover nothing from the accused and prayed the court to decline the remand. Tiktoker Ayesha had identified the accused persons during an identification parade in jail before the magistrate.
