Jahangir Tareen returns to Pakistan after seven months

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen have returned to Pakistan after spending seven months in the United Kingdom.
On their arrival in Lahore today, Jahangir said that he went abroad for medical treatment. Regarding the allegations levelled by the opposition against his business and his departure to UK, the PTI leader who is also a close confidant of Prime Minister Imran Khan, said that the opposition's only purpose is to points fingers at others.
In a tweet, the PTI member clarified that his JDW Sugar Mills, was not part of any petition against the Punjab government's decision to commence sugar crushing on November 10. He said all of his mills including those in Sindh, will start crushing on November 10.
"I will play my part in helping the government overcome the sugar shortage and price hike," he tweeted.
In May, an inquiry commission revealed how sugar barons had cheated farmers, benefited from subsidies and created conditions so that the price of sugar could go up. Tareen was among the people accused of benefitting the most from the crisis.
