LAHORE: Punjab has reported 185 fresh Covid-19 infections and three more deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 104,016 cases and deaths to 2,357.
With recovery of nine more patients during the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered patients has reached to 97,431. About 6,637 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours taking the tally of tests so far conducted to 1583563.
On overall basis, another 539 people have recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan, taking the total number of recoveries to 314,066. According to the government's database, 669 virus patients are in critical condition.
Dr Qiu Don Xu, head of the team of Chinese researchers from the Institute of Bioengineering, China said that human trial of Chinese vaccine for coronavirus had started in Pakistan and so far 2,000 volunteers had been registered for this trial. "Our target is to register 10,000 volunteers in coming days," he added.
