Multiplayer gaming blockbuster PUBG Mobile has surpassed $3.5 billion from lifetime player spending. The Chinese mobile game has generated $500 million in just 72 days.

According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence, the Tencent built game has seen its revenue rise thanks to COVID -19 pandemic lead lockdown. PUBG accumulated $3 billion in late July. The game has generated $1.8 billion from player spending and picked up 198 million downloads in the ongoing 2020.

As per the data, China continues to be the region with the highest in-game spending for PUBG, with 53 percent of the total revenue, or $1.9 billion, coming from the country alone. This figure includes player spending only on the Apple App Store.

Outside China PUBG Mobile has generated close to $1.7 billion in lifetime revenue with the United States as its biggest market with almost 29 percent of all revenue, while Japan comes second place with 12 percent, and Saudi Arabia ranks No. 3 with 8.8 percent.

The Chinese game has been downloaded over 770 million times since its release back in March 2018. The majority of these are from India with 185.5 million installs, followed by China at 16.4 percent of the total downloads.
