ISTANBUL: Turkey's lira weakened some 0.5pc on Thursday in a fourth day of volatile trading that has renewed worries over the country's depleted foreign reserves and costly state interventions to stabilize the currency in recent months.
The lira slipped to as far as 7.005 against the dollar before settling at 6.997 by 0922 GMT.
The currency had also touched 7.005 on Wednesday, its lowest level since mid-May.
