The Met office on Tuesday forecast mainly cold and dry weather for most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, it says light rain with light snowfall over the hills at few places of Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas on Tuesday night is likely to happen. It says cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over most parts of the country during the forecast period.
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 48 hours it says, adding that "Continental air is prevailing over most part of the country. Shallow westerly trough is present over Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas". It says lowest temperature recorded in Ziarat minus 13 degree centigrade, Parachinar minus 12, Malamjabba minus 9, Gupis, Zhob minus 5 each and Rawalakot minus 4 in the last 24 hours. Its says Karachi's weather is expected to remain dry with minimum temperature between 10 degree centigrade and 12 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours.
