During the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Aiyaary’ on Bigg Boss 11, Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra passed some sleazy remarks about an Indian regional Bhojpuri language. Those remarks did not go down well with a lot of people, including few from Bollywood film fraternity.

Sidharth was promoting his film on a reality TV show with Manoj Bajpayee, where he was given a task of repeating dialogues from superstar Salman Khan’s film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ in Bhojpuri. The actor then said the language gives a ‘latrine kind’ of feeling.

Famous Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari has revealed that there are many people who have lodged FIRs against him. “It’s a big insult for 22 crore people. This is very bad. We should respect every language of my country. I was shocked to hear about it. I thought being an actor, he would do good, but he has hurt me immensely. I don’t think people will forgive him. He should apologise for his actions. There are FIR’s being filed against in him in cities such as Patna, Benaras, Mumbai and Kolkata,” Indian Express reported.

Another B-town actress Neetu Chandra, who also hails from the same community had earlier tweeted, “So disappointed. Sidharth Malhotra, someone who is so fortunate to work with best, who despite being an outsider has made a name for himself, for you to use your words so loosely to disrespect Bhojpuri on national television. Shocked! How on earth does speaking Bhojpuri gives you a latrine feeling. Shame on you”.

Meanwhile, the ‘Ek Villian’ actor has also apologized for hurting people’s sentiments.
