The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Science and Information Technology, Muhammad Ayub Khan, said that the socio-economic conditions of the people would be strengthened with the development of communication sector. He stated while talking to a delegation from PK-84 Matta Swat that the progress and development could not be possible without development and strengthening of communication system including highways and bridges.
On this occasion, besides MPAs from Swat Sher Shah Khan, Waqar Ahmad Khan and Rehmat Ali Khan, heads of various government departments of the district Swat were also present. The delegation apprised the Provincial Minister regarding their difficulties and problems and particularly briefed the Minister of their grievances and agonies due to the washing away of various link roads and bridges.
Assuring the delegation, the Minister said that no stone would be left unturned for timely redressing of all their genuine problems and for this purpose, he added, he would personally contact the concerned high-ups. The Provincial Minister said that the government has been spending millions for development of communication means like roads, bridges and other infrastructure, while keeping in view significance of communication system.
Muhammad Ayub Khan on this occasion asked the government officials to utilise all their capabilities for in-time completion of all the public welfare-oriented schemes initiated by the government so that the maximum people could get benefit of it. The Minister also stressed on the members of the delegation to have a vigilant eye over the ongoing developmental schemes of the government so that it is ensured that every penny of the public exchequer is spent for their welfare and interests.
He further said that the developmental schemes are the right of the people and therefore it is his desire that the people could be provided with all their rights within the ambit of available resources. He called upon the delegation to play their due role for restoration of peace on permanent basis in their respective areas. The delegation thanked the Provincial Minister for evincing keen interest in their difficulties and assured all-out help to the government from their side.
