Govt keeps petrol, diesel prices unchanged

The government maintained petrol and high-speed diesel prices for August 11, keeping Motor Spirit at Rs327.62 and HSD at Rs380.86 per litre, following a recent price decrease.

The government kept the petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices unchanged for Tuesday, August 11.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the ex-depot prices of petroleum products for August 8 and 10, 2026 shall remain unchanged for August 11, “due to non publication of Platts prices on August 10, 2026”.

The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) remained same at Rs327.62 per litre.
The price of HSD was also unchanged at Rs380.86 per litre.
The prices will remain in effect until tomorrow, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.
In the previous review on Friday, the government decreased the prices of petrol and HSD by Rs2.20 and Rs1.50 per litre, respectively, with the revised rates taking effect from Saturday, August 8 till Monday, August 10, 2026.
