The Punjab government has decided to participate in International Green Week (IGW) taking place in Berlin, Germany from January 20 to 29, 2012. More than 20 companies will take part in the IGW. Around fifteen selective products of the private sector will be exhibited in this international event, said Star Farm Chain Managing Director Hans Peter in a meeting held at the Agriculture House Punjab, here on Monday.
He said that it had been decided to participate in IGW to have access of selected traceable products of agriculture and livestock departments at international market and persuade the foreign investors to invest in Pakistan. According to a spokesman of the provincial agriculture department, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif will himself participate in this international exhibition. German ambassador will have a meeting with the Chief Minister of Punjab in this regard, the spokesman added.
