'Punjab government spending Rs 71 billion on composite uplift of social sector'

The Punjab government was spending an amount of Rs 71 billion on the composite development of social sector in the province so that living standards of the people could be sufficiently improved by providing quality services in different sectors including healthcare, education, sports, social development and regional planning.
This was stated by Chairman Punjab Education Foundation, Raja Anwar while talking to a student delegation comprising of partner school students and their teachers at his residence on Sunday. Raja Anwar said that students' community should give top priority to their studies so as to emerge as 'agents of change' in the society. Pakistan requires trained human resource to compete in the challenging world of the 21st century and this could be done through promoting quality education, he maintained. Raja Anwar said that development of social sector was given special attention as it helps to improve the quality of life and provides equal opportunities of life to them.
"Punjab government has set up best service delivery mechanism in education sector and efforts are being made to improve the overall governance structure through holistic reforms."
The government reforms will help to set up a social system where all the people will be treated equally and no one will be deprived because of poverty, concluded Raja Anwar. Meanwhile, the spokesman of Punjab Educaiton Foundation has informed that the regional office of the Punjab Education Foundation in Multan District has been relocated to 25-Shah Rukan-e-Alam Colony. The new office was inaugurated by Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Muhammad Anwar. On the occasion, partner school heads of district Multan were also present.
