Sarfraz wants Zaman to attack the Kiwis

Pakistan cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed has said that he wants his batsmen, especially hard hitting Fakhar Zaman, to attack the opposition in the upcoming tour of New Zealand.
“Our batting target is to play positive cricket in such conditions if one don’t attack the opposition bowling line, it will get under pressure,” stated Sarfraz, while talking to the media on Tuesday.
“The openers, including Fakhar, Azhar and Imam, all are naturally aggressive, so I would like them to carry on with their natural game against the New Zealand,” added Sarfraz.
Loss of Junaid, Imad major setback for Pakistan: Sarfraz
The skipper dismissed the notion that Pakistan’s batting line is its weak link, saying that the batsmen have been performing regularly for quite some time. “Our batting line has been performing well for the past six or seven months. We did well in the series against West Indies, and the series after wards,” stated Sarfraz.
The skipper added that the batting line has also got a major depth boost after the arrival of Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf. However, playing against the New Zealand in ‘tough conditions’ would be a challenge that the team is prepared for, he added.
"Apart from opener Fakhar Zaman, all other players have played in New Zealand before so they know about the tough conditions and about the New Zealand team. So we are ready for the challenges."
Pakistan is scheduled to play five ODIs and three T20Is between January 6 and January 28.
