KARACHI: Sindh rangers on Monday claimed to have arrested five accused, including a diesel smuggler during different targeted raids in the metropolis.
According to ranger’s spokesperson, a ranger’s team carried out a targeted raid near Hamdard University and seized 25,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel from a tanker-truck, with registration number TUD-120.
The diesel was concealed in specially designed hidden cavities of the truck.
However, they arrested driver, Khair Alam. Separately, receiving information about extortionists a rangers’ party arrested four alleged extortionists, Muhammad Fasial, Muhammad Amir, Sajjid Ali and Muhammad Ramzan.
The arrested accused were handed over to police for further legal formalities, said rangers’ statement.
