KARACHI: A march was organized in Karachi by the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) to express solidarity with the Palestinians against the United States' decision of declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
A JI Karachi statement on Sunday said that scores of people from all walks of life participated in the march and the participants carried placards and banners and chanted slogans against the US decision.
It said that workers and leaders of several other political parties also participated in the march.
Addressing the participants, the JI Pakistan chief Senator Siraj ul Haq said that the JI's struggle will continue till the withdrawal of the US decision.
He also asked the Muslim Ummah to take steps for the greater good of the Muslims around the world and the liberation of Muslim territories that are under occupation.
