Youm-e-Tahaffuz Al-Quds observed

FAISALABAD: Youm-e-Tahaffuz Al-Quds was observed in the district on Friday against the US decision to recognize the Jerusalem as the so-called capital of Israel.

In this connection, a grand rally led by District Council Chairman Ch Zahid Nazir, City Mayor Malik Abdul Razzaq and member parliamentarians was taken out from District Council hall to Clock Tower Chowk after Jumma Prayer.

Member parliamentarians Ch Faqeer Hussain Dogar, Mian Tahir Jamil, Hajji Khalid Saeed, Hajji Ilyas Ansari, Rana Shoaib Idrees, Mian Ajmal Asif, Dr Najma Afzal, Fatima Fariha, Madiha Rana, members of Aman Committee Mufti Muhammad Zia Madni, Moulana Muhammad Riaz Kharl, Jafar Hussain Naqvi, Muhammad Mansha, Ulema, Lawyers, Journalists, traders, and large number of people from civil society participated. The participants were carrying banners, placards inscribed with slogans against US decision to recognize the occupied city of Al-Quds Al Sharif/Jerusalem as the so-called capital of Israel and plan to relocate the American embassy there. The participants of the rally also chanted slogans against the US and Israel.

Addressing the participants, Member Parliamentarians said, "Baitul Muqaddas is a holy place for Muslims and we strongly condemn latest development regarding shifting of Israel's capital."

They said that Muslim Ummah deeply respect the Qibla Awwal Baitul Maqaddas and would not accept the decision of US President. They condemned the decision of US and said it will affect international peace.
