MULTAN: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari said that his party had programmes and plans to pull the country out of crises.

Addressing a public meeting here at Qasim Bagh Stadium on Friday evening, Asif Ali Zardari claimed the PPP would win next general election, if masses supported the party by power of vote.

When PPP had come into power in 2008 after the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto, the country was facing several challenges, he reminisced and added that they had sent Gen (R) Pervez Musharraf packing with the power of masses.

The former president claimed the people were prosperous in PPP's last tenure, adding that country's prosperity was directly proportional to masses progress.

Asif Zardari said that PPP leaders and workers were jailed and they had rendered sacrifices for the promotion of democracy in the country.

He recalled that former prime minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had held a public meeting at the same venue and people had once again repeated the history.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the youth was his strength and they had many programmes for their welfare.

Bilawal said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak was the oldest CM while Murad Ali Shah was the youngest CM.

The PPP chairman stated that next general election was his maiden and Imran Khan's last election, adding that they would extend equal opportunities to youth consisting of 60 percent population of the country.

He claimed the PPP would establish separate province for South Punjab masses after winning the next general election.
