ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) of Islamabad Thursday testified one more prosecution witness and adjourned hearing against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar till December 18, in a reference regarding assets beyond known sources of income.

The court also directed NAB to initiate process to confiscate the property of Dar's guarantor Ahmed Ali Qudoosi, who also failed to appear before the court in compliance with summons, and submit report on next hearing.

AC Judge Muhammad Bashir took up a reference for hearing filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Ishaq Dar.

During hearing, the court recorded the statement of NAB witness Azeem Khan, a manager of a private bank.

The witness provided the computerized details of three bank accounts of the accused's family and also submitted supportive documents to the court.

The court also allowed to make details of Hajveri Holding company's account as part of case record.

However, the second witness Faisal Shehzad could not appear before the court due to some domestic matter.

The court allowed two other witnesses Abdul Rehman and Masood Ghani, who recorded statements during the last hearing, to leave after attendance.

NAB witness Abdul Rehman provided the details of Ishaq Dar's income from 2005 to 2017.

It may be mentioned here that the court had testified five witnesses so far amongst a list of 28 witnesses against Ishaq Dar. The court had decided to conduct the trial of the finance minister in his absence under Section 512.
