The Karachi Port handled 350,421 tonnes of cargo including 247,598 tonnes of import cargo, 102,823 tonnes of export cargo and 4,369 loaded & empty containers during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 247,598 tonnes comprised of 72,849 tonnes of containerised cargo; 31,289 tonnes of general cargo; 27,700 tonnes of coal and 115,760 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 102,823 tonnes comprised of 63,801 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,946 tonnes of general cargo; 11,559 tonnes of bulk cargo: 3,115 tonnes of cement; 8,444 tonnes of loose bulk cement and 25,517 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Fourteen ships namely Positano, Ital Oceano, CSL Ride, Island Express, Primo Stealth, Kota Harum, TS Singapore, Invicta, Nord Optimiser, APL Sokhna, Free Lady, Cosco Kawasaki, King Feast and Al-Mirqab with three container ships, cement, oil tanker, two container ships, bulk cargo, oil tanker, container ship, general cargo, container ship, general cargo and container ship sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Fifteen vessels viz Ocean Host, YM Asia, TS Singapore, Kota Harum, King Feast, Free Lady, MT Lahore, Al-Mirqab, Cosco Kawasaki, Cape Manuel, Dae San, Royal Jasper, APL Shenzhen, Sima Singapore and Star Island carrying coal, three container ships, two general cargoes, oil tanker, three container ships, bunker, oil tanker, two container ships and bulk cargo respectively are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Sima Singapore, Dae San and APL Shenzhen with container ship, bunker and container ship expected to sail on Monday, while three ships namely Cape Manuel, Iris Victoria and Ocean Host carrying container ship, oil tanker and container ship respectively are expected to sail on Tuesday. Jet oil carrier Nord Observer due to arrive on Monday, while six vessels viz Chemroad Vega, Salis, Parmis, Hansa Century, APL Agate and Liberty Pride with ethanol, four container ships and vehicles carrier respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 127,061 tonnes of cargo includes 90,633 tonnes of import cargo, 36,428 tonnes of export cargo and 2,560 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours. The total import cargo of 90,633 tonnes includes 26,022 tonnes of diesel oil; 9,900 tonnes of edible oil; 35,708 tonnes of canola seeds; 8,158 tonnes of chemicals and 10,845 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 36,428 tonnes includes 10,514 tonnes of wheat; 3,870 tonnes of cement and 22,044 tonnes of containerised cargo. Two ships namely CV Maersk Utha and MV Golden Ambrosia sailed out to sea on Monday morning. A total number of eight vessels viz CV Maersk Utha, MV Rana, Tycoon-II, Majestic. Paerl of Jabel Ali, Golden Ambrosia, Analipsi Lady and Yufu are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, canola seeds, chemicals, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely Al-Azizoo, Golden Top and Argent Hibiscus carrying furnace oil and edible oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Furnace oil carrier MV Al-Azizoo expected to take berth at Multi Purpose Terminal on Monday.
