Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Sindh Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three persons including arms trafficker and two target killers and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in two separate raids at different parts of the metropolis.
According to SIU officials, the SIU team claimed to have arrested arms trafficker namely Shahid Mehboob, who said to be retired army man, at Saeedabad, Baldia Town and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition including 4 Kalashnikovs, two Rifles, 10 pistols and substantial quantity of bullets on his information. They claimed that the accused Shahid transported illegal weapons from Peshawar Jahangira area to the miscreants hiding in the metropolis.
They further claimed that the SIU police have arrested two target killers, who said to be involved in recent spree of targeted killings, during separate raid at Orangi Town on Thursday. They alleged that the accused target killers namely Amjab and Ismail admitted to murder some 13 persons and injured dozens of people during several violent moves since 2009.
Moreover, they said the accused targeted five persons in January 2010 including Sheikh Fareed and some four persons at Orangi Town. Similarly, they also alleged that the accused killed three persons namely Qaiser, Sanobar and Zafar through straight fire on moving minibus in October 2010. SIU police said that they had recently killed two persons on a resistance while looting passenger bus at Orangi town in January 2011.
