LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Wednesday said the first child-friendly court would be set up soon in the District Courts here.
Talking to representatives of the UNICEF and Group Development Pakistan here, he said that these courts would deal with civil and criminal cases regarding children, adding their designing and infrastructure would be different from other courts.
The chief justice asked the UNICEF representatives to cooperate in providing training to the judges and holding workshops in this regard.
The UNICEF representative assured full cooperation for the purpose.
Sarah Coleman and Valerie Khan represented the UNICEF and Group Development Pakistan, respectively.
Acting LHC Registrar Muhammad Akmal Khan and District and Sessions Judge Lahore Abid Qureshi were also present during the meeting.
