Futures open interest up by 100.6 percent

Open interest position during the week increased by a notable 100.6 percent or Rs 497 million on weekly bases to stand at Rs 991 million. Futures spread increased by 3.58 percent while futures volumes stood at 2.99 million shares increasing by 114 percent WoW. The top 5 scrips, constituting 76 percent of the total open interest included PSO, MCB, OGDC, Engro and NBP.
On the foreign inflow front, the portfolio investment marked a massive decrease of 52 percent or $9.6 million shares.
