Akshaye Khanna in hot waters for smoking

Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna has been issued a notice for smoking in the main poster of his recently released movie ‘Ittefaq’ poster.

The Indian Censor Board has banned smoking from movies for quite some time now. But apparently the movie makers of ‘Ittefaq’ forgot about this ban and Akshaye was seen smoking on the poster of the film, which also stars Siddharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha.

Nevertheless, his naïve mistake has led not only Akshaye but also the makers of the movie, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar in trouble as the Dehli’s health department has issued notices to all of them.

Abhay Chopra's directorial venture released the notice that read, "The promotional material poster of the film being publicized in media is in gross violation of Section 5 of the Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act 2003. Bollywood films have a lasting effect and influence the youth in a major way,” Mid-day reported.
