Market Committee issues price list of fruits, vegetables

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Market Committee on Tuesday issued price list of vegetables and fruits in the markets of Federal Capital.

According to a spokesman, the rate list of vegetables in Islamabad except for Jinnah Super, Super and Kohsar markets are as follows:

Potato Rs 36/40 per Kg, Onion Rs 55/60, Tomato Rs 70/90, Ginger Rs 140/185, Garlic Dasi Rs 81/98, Garlic (Quetta) Rs 95/120, Lemon Rs 140/165, Lady Finger Rs 45/50, Pumpkin Rs 33/42, Brinjal Rs 25/28, Peas Rs 127/160, Farsh Bean Rs 70/82, Cucumber Rs 56/70, Capsicum Rs 65/75, Green Chilli Rs 36/48, Cauliflower Rs 50/75, Cabbage Rs 35/40, Bitter Gourd Rs 70/78, Green Zucchini RS 57/67, Spinach Rs 20/25, Raddish Rs 20/25, Turnip Rs 30/45, Maroo Rs 70/80, Yam Rs 24/27, Carrot Rs 70/80, Chicken Rs 120 per Kg and Egg per dozen Rs 99.

Likewise, he said that rates of fruit per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple Golden Rs 105/65, Apple China Rs 215/160, Papita Rs 130/80, Banana Pak Rs 60/40, Apple New Zealand Rs 290/240, Pear China Rs 180/130, Garma Rs 60/40, Mango Nawabpuri 200/150, Meetha Rs 190/140, Guava Rs 70/40 and Grapes Rs 135/75.

The spokesman has asked all the people to follow this list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any complaint against the shopkeepers.
