For almost one year, the debate was on whether which of Bollywood’s superstar will play the lead in one of the most famous action movie trilogy’s fourth part, ‘Dhoom 4’ but after much speculation between Salman and SRK, King Khan has won the crown after all.

The Yash Raj Films had always chosen a bigger and bigger name for the anti-hero role in one after another movie of their super hit series, ‘Dhoom’. And after Aamir Khan’s powerful impact in the third part of the movie, the movie maker had to choose someone of his caliber like Salman or Shah Rukh Khan.

As, Salman already signed a similar themed movie, ‘Race 3’, he was dropped out for the role leaving SRK as the perfect choice. King Khan is also ideal for the job because the actor has always shined playing the negative roles in movies like ‘Baazigar’, ‘Darr’, ‘Don’, and ‘Raees’.

On speaking about the director of the movie, a source said: “Adi wants to take 'Dhoom 4' to the next level and he’s asked Maneesh Sharma to write the film. He’s currently scripting it. For those in the know, Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor (director of Dhoom 3) is now busy with ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. So the film will change hands again. Maneesh will probably direct it as well,” Bollywood Life reported.

SRK’s last movie on the silver screen was Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ opposite Anushka Sharma that didn’t work as well it hoped on the box office.
