PMEX index closes at 2,995 points

KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited commodity index on Tuesday closed at 2,995 points.

The total traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at Rs 5.505 billion and the number of lots traded was 18,767, says PMEX press release here on Wednesday.

Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to Rs 2.035 billion, followed by gold Rs 1.728 billion, currencies through COTS Rs 1.422 billion, silver Rs 136.100 million, platinum Rs 121.907 million, copper Rs 43.937 million, natural gas Rs 11.243 million and Brent crude oil Rs 6.027 million.
