berdimuhamedISLAMABAD: President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov arrived here Monday on an official visit to meet the Pakistani leadership and discuss issues of mutual importance.

He was received by Federal Minister for Textiles Makhdoom Shahabuddin at the Pakistan Airforce Base Chaklala. Senior officials of the Foreign Office were also present.

The Turkmen President during his stay will meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and will discuss bilateral issues, the TAPI gas pipeline project and the issues of regional security.
