Published March 1, 2017 Updated March 1, 2017 10:33am

imageThe decision to hold the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017, at Lahore was hailed by cricket lovers back home. However, the news was met was pessimism particularly among the foreign players and staff working at the tournament.

After it was learnt that foreign cricketers including Kevin Pietersen, Tymal Mills, Luke Wright and Nathan McCullum, representing the Quetta Gladiators have pulled out of PSL; it is being learnt, that international commentators would also not come to Pakistan.

Quetta Gladiators moved into finals, after beating Peshawar Zalmi by one run last night. As per reports, South African batsmen Rilee Rossouw, who has been the top run scorer for Gladiators too remain uncertain for the PSL final.

Furthermore, PSL commentators Alan Wilkins, Danny Morrison and Mel Jones have declined to cover the tournament final in Pakistan.

Previously, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar M Khan said that both the finalist teams of the event would have four foreign players each, whose names would be disclosed in a couple of days.

Despite the departure as foreign stars depart from PSL, tickets for the leagues final are being sold as hot cakes, since the ticket sales began on Wednesday, desperate fans rushed to local banks where tickets were being sold after e-tickets sold out within hours.
