LONDON: European stock markets were steady on Thursday, some solid results tempered by less rosy figures from the US, with London's FTSE 100 Index of leading shares fractionally up, by 0.03 percent to 6,087.38 points.

In Paris, the CAC 40 was up a negligeable 0.02 percent to finish at 4,152.31 points while in Frankfurt the DAX fell slightly, down 0.12 percent to 7,405.51 points.
