imageKARACHI: Arrest warrant has been issued against former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram on Tuesday, for not appearing at the court continuously for testifying in case filed by him.

The arrest warrant was issued by East Magistrate, which comes after the left hand fast bowler failed to appear before the court in 31 hearings, reported local media.

Akram lodged a complaint with Bahadurabad police station, after Akram's vehicle was fired upon in Karsaz, August 2015. However, the former skipper remained safe in the episode.

The court has ordered the left arm fast bowler to appear before the court on January 17.
