PARIS: French shares soared by more than 5.0 percent on Thursday, with traders hailing a last-minute deal to face the eurozone crisis at a summit in Brussels.
In afternoon trade, the CAC 40 index of leading shares was up by 5.29 percent to 3,336.08 points.
