As Pakistans face off with Australia comes near, players from either side are picking up their favourite opponents in the upcoming series.
Australian newcomer Peter Handscomb has put himself forward challenging Pakistan leggie Yasir Shah, when the teams collide in the first day-night Test starting on Thursday in the Gabba, Brisbane.
Shah at the moment is uncertain for the series opener owing to a back injury, but Handscomb who recently made his Test debut against South Africa at Adelaide want Shah all fit at the Gabba.
"He's a world-class bowler," said Handscomb reported Yahoo New Zealand.
"Personally, I am looking forward to getting out there and seeing what it is like to face him.
"I haven't seen a great deal of him. But I would dare say he would be able to use the bounce at the Gabba and turn the ball as well," added Handscomb.
Shah was unable to represent Pakistan in its only warm-up match against a Cricket Australia XI in Cairns this week due to injury.
17-year old spinner Mohammad Asghar was sought as Yasirs backup and has been added to Pakistan's squad for the Test series.
