MEPL seeks generation license for 50MW solar power plant

imageISLAMABAD: Meridian Energy Private Limited (MEPL) has submitted an application to National Electric Power Regulator Authority (NEPRA) for power generation license for its 50 MW solar power plant.

Sources told APP here that the company would setup solar power plant at Goth Gagrawara (Sukkur) to generate 50 MW electricity.

The project would cost $ 76.93 million and its expected commercial operation date is 4th quarter 2017.

MEPL intends to supply power generated from the plant to Central Power Purchasing Agency.
