RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani Thursday expressed his satisfaction over operational preparedness of the Army and exhorted field commanders to focus on training of their under command as it is hallmark of a professional Army.
In opening address at 67th Formation Commanders’ Conference chaired by him which commenced at General Headquarters, he appreciated the conduct of military and stabilization operations being undertaken to restore and sustain peace in Federally Administered Tribal Areas FATA. He also appreciated rescue and relief efforts by troops during operation Labbaik 2 in flood affected areas of Sindh province, ISPR press release said.
The two-day long Conference part of regular meetings is being attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers and Formation Commanders. The forum was given comprehensive briefings on external and internal security situation in the country. The participants dwelt at length on various professional matters.
