imageAs tensions between India and Pakistan overshadow sports and culture, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is prepared to take on the cricket goliath, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the upcoming ICC meeting.

These were the views expressed by PCB’s Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi, reported the local media. "We will give befitting response to Anurag Thakur," said Sethi.

The response comes after BCCI chief Anurag Thakur inflammatory statement towards Pakistan. He said on Friday, that BCCI would ask the ICC not to put India and Pakistan in the same group of any ICC event.

The statements by Thakur were criticized by Ex ICC President Ehsan Mani, who said that the Pakistani cricket officials should come strong at the ICC executive board meeting.

"Anurag Thakur is a politician and member of parliament of the ruling party and the ICC must ask him to explain in what capacity does he give his statements on Pakistan or any other cricket issue," Mani said, reported First Post.

The upcoming ICC board meeting will be attended by along with CEO, Subhan Ahmad. The meeting is scheduled to be held later this month in Cape Town, South Africa.
