imageISLAMABAD: China Mobile Pakistan (CMPak) has achieved three months ahead of its 4G rollout plan, showing commitment to further add an additional 1,000 4G sites across the

country during this year.

The addition of 1,000 4G sites will take an overall tally of 4G sites to around 6,000 by end of this year, making it the largest network in terms of 4G coverage.

A statement issued here on Monday said to facilitate expansion plans, Zong's parent company, China Mobile Communications Corporation, which is the largest telecommunications company in the world, has given a go-ahead for additional investment.

Through this, the total 4G investment of Zong in Pakistan is going to cross US $ 300 million.

It is to be noted that Pakistan's fastest growing 4G network recently expanded its 4G coverage to over 100 cities nationwide and was also designated by PTA as the number-one operator in voice and data services.

This expansion plan is a indicator of Zong's long-term commitment to local telecommunication market. The rollout will greatly enhance Zong's 4G coverage and quality of data user experience, reflecting organization's aspiration to transform the digital lives of Pakistanis through its high speed data services.

Director Corporate Affairs and official Spokesperson of the company, Maham Dard on Monday said the addition of 1,000 4G sites after meeting 4G expansion target is a huge milestone.

It testifies our commitment to provide a stable, affordable and reliable network.

"We will continue to invest in 4G technology and continue to improve our services to provide a faster, wider and deeper data quality experience to the users. We will continue to invest more and execute more to be able to provide the best quality network," Maham said.

Maham Dard said Zong envisions to enable a fully connected environment for Pakistanis for which we have invested over Rs. 220 billion so far.

Digitization is a catalyst for economic growth and we will continue to enable it by leading data services market of Pakistan. he said.
