imageSamsung weeks ago recalled its latest Galaxy Note 7 after complaints related to battery explosions made rounds. However, sadly the explosions were not limited to smartphones, after it was found that even Samsung’s washing machines are unsafe and are exploding.

The South Korean electronics giant was warned by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, after a fault in its washing machines that has allegedly causing some models to "explode," reported Telegraph.

"In rare cases, affected units may experience abnormal vibrations that could pose a risk of personal injury or property damage when washing bedding, bulky or water-resistant items," said Samsung.

The statement comes after a lawsuit was filed against the company, alleging that customers' machines had "blown apart" and "exploded in owners' homes." In doing so, the washing machine has become Samsung’s second product in a month reported to explode,

image"It was the loudest sound. It sounded like a bomb went off in my ear," said Melissa Thaxton to ABC’s morning show “Good Morning America.”

"There were wires, nuts, the cover actually was laying on the floor. I just remember covering my head and leaning towards my son and just screaming this scream that I didn’t even know I could scream," Thaxton added.

Samsung therefore, has been urging customers to opt for lower-speed delicate cycle when washing bedding, bulky or water-resistant materials.
