KARACHI: Five ships arrived at the Port on Saturday, carrying containers at QICT, LPG at EVTL, palm oil at LCT, rice loader at FAP, Port sources said here Sunday. Berth occupancy was maintained at 77% at the Port on Saturday.
A total of ten ships namely M.V Opel-II, M.V Sargodha, M.V Silver Star, M.V Lord By Ron, M.V Lotus, M.V Cma Cgm Eiffel, M.T Kassos, M.T Golden Ambrosia, M.T Long Champ M.T Stx Hero are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, rice, containers, sun flower seed. Furnace oil, palm oil, Meg, LPG.
Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume of 36619 tonnes comprising 31175 tonnes import and 5441 tonnes export 3019 (Tues) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
M.V Cma Cgm Eiffel, M.T Long Champ, M.T Kassos sailed on Sunday morning.
M.V Maersk Georgia at QICT, M.T AL Salam-II at FOTCO, M.T Sc Bei at LCT were to arrive on Sunday, the sources further said.
