Ms Margaret Huber, High Commissioner of Canada to Pakistan paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. She praised the efforts of the government for bringing about transparency and growth in the economy and added the world appreciates these efforts.
The Prime Minister said Pakistanis working in Canada were playing an active role in the social, cultural and economic prosperity of that country and hoped that the economic, diplomatic and people to people contacts will grow further.
Moreover, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan also paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and discussed matters pertaining to Pak-Korea relations.
The Prime Minister said the government was keen to further expand economic ties with South Korea and expressed the confidence that South Korea businessmen and entrepreneurs will benefit from the favourable climate of investment in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan lies at the crossroads of Central Asia, South Asia and the Gulf region and its geographical location was an advantage for gearing up exports to these countries.
