SNGPL collects Rs1.66bn on account of urgent gas connection fee

ISLAMABAD: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has collected over Rs 1.66 billion on account of urgent fee for new domestic gas connections in its 13 regions across the country in two years.

"Around 54,487 gas connections have been provided under urgent gas connection fee since February, 2014 to January 4, 2016," official sources in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources told APP.

They said the company had processed 1,258 applications in Abbottabad, 3,741 in Bahawalpur, 8,056 in Faisalabad, 4,742 in Gujranwala, 363 in Gujrat, 6,603 in Islamabad, 22,849 in Lahore, 3,587 in Multan, 2,688 in Peshawar, 7,873 in Rawalpindi, 953 in Sahiwal, 2,735 in Sargodha and 1,230 in Sheikhpura.
