Pakistan and World Bank on Saturday discussed the funding proposals, needs and priority areas for which funding will be required during next three years under the 'Inductive Lending Programme.' The discussion were held in a meeting between World Bank delegation led by its Country Director, John Wall and Secretary Economic Affairs Division (EAD), Shuja Shah and other senior officials of the ministry of finance.
The EAD secretary briefed the delegation about the borrowing policy of Pakistan government and stated that Corresponding Assistance Programme of the World Bank for the year 2004-05 was working satisfactorily and assisting to achieve the development goals set by the government.
The priority areas identified during the meeting for financing under the 'Inductive Lending Programme' for the next three years were second generation reforms, structural reforms, human development infrastructure, including water security, energy security, transport, urban development and Khushhal Pakistan.
