PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) on Wednesday disconnected power supply to various government departments on non-payment of billions of rupees.
According to details, power supply disconnected to PA North on nonpayment of Rs1.15 million, passport office 0.11 million, Airport 0.47 million, NHA Rs 2.51 million, FATA DC Rs14.53 million, BS Company Rs1.0 million, C&W Rs1.40 million, Education department Rs. 3.50 million, Health Rs3.0 million, District Jail Bannu Rs5.40 million.
Similarly, 34 connections of TMA Bannu were disconnected due to nonpayment of Rs 3.72 million, 29 connections of P&I department were disconnected over nonpayment of Rs 8.71 million, 10 connections of Irrigation department were disconnected due to nonpayment of Rs 2.15 million. Similarly, in DI Khan 183 connections of Federal and Provincial governments' departments were disconnected over nonpayment of Rs20.15 million.
Similarly, in Hazara Circle power supply to Water supply scheme Budari was disconnected due to nonpayment of Rs 32,853, power supply to water supply scheme Bandan disconnected on nonpayment of Rs 19,985, power supply disconnected to WSS Dodial due to nonpayment of Rs 48,498.
Power supply disconnected to WSS Kalghan due to nonpayment of Rs 20,584, power supply disconnected to Old library Hazara University on nonpayment of Rs 324,764.
Power supply disconnected to WSS Achrain on nonpayment of Rs 4,050,020, Forest Rest House Domail on nonpayment of Rs 74,776, BHU Civil hospital Battal due to nonpayment of Rs 353,615, Education department on nonpayment of Rs 475,996 and Union council Battal due to nonpayment of Rs7,320. PESCO warned private and government defaulters to deposit outstanding dues immediately otherwise power supply would be disconnected without any further notice.
