Governor State Bank of Pakistan, on the request of the Chairman Central Board of Revenue Islamabad has directed that State Bank of Pakistan and National Bank of Pakistan will function for extended hours from June 27 to June 30, 2004 to facilitate the tax payers in fulfilling their tax obligations.
This was notified here on Saturday by Aminullah Khan, Commissioner, Income Tax, Hyderabad, in accordance with the present policy of the government.
As per the new schedule the said branches will remain open till 8 pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and up to 10 pm on Wednesday the last day (June 30) of current fiscal year.
The Income Tax Commissioner has urged the taxpayers to avail the facility intended by the government for facilitating them in meeting their tax obligations.
He said that taxpayers must pay their income tax and wealth tax dues including outstanding tax arrears by the deadline.
He said that Hyderabad zone has made specific arrangements to facilitate the tax-payers and added that four senior officers of the department shall remain available at the income tax offices located at Civil Lines and GOR Colony, Hyderabad, to respond to queries of tax-payers and resolve their tax related problems.
In case of any problem the taxpayers have been advised to contact Manzoor Hussain Jokhio deputy commissioner Income Tax, Muhammad Hajan Bughio, deputy commissioner, Civil Lines or Pir Khalid Ahmed Qureshi, deputy commissioner Income Tax or Amjad Hussain Memon, Assistant Commissioner Income Tax, GOR Colony, Hyderabad.
