The Tehsil Headquarter Hospital in Mianwali district would be converted into a modern medical centre with an estimated cost of Rs 40 million, where free treatment would be given to the deserving.
Punjab minister for minerals and mining Mohammed Sibtain Khan said this on Friday while talking to a delegation comprising prominent persons from Mianwali, tehsil Piplan.
The delegation was informed that the provincial chief minister had already sanctioned the funds for the hospital. The minister said the groundbreaking ceremony of the hospital would be performed soon.
Poor people of Piplan and the adjoining areas would greatly benefit from the medical facility, he said.
